In Noh Gajang's initial appearance, he witnesses Chong Won being pursued and encircled by numerous unidentified martial artist factions. Each group relentlessly demands the surrender of the coveted "One Life Pills" or face certain death. To protect himself, Chong Won devises a plan: he drops a small bag containing what appears to be the authentic pills, diverting the attention of his pursuers. Utilizing this diversion, he escapes to a secret location where he has concealed the genuine One Life Pills.
However, Noh and his companions stumble upon the bag and soon a clash ensues, forcing Chong Won into a perilous confrontation. During the skirmish, Chong Won succumbs to a single, fatal strike delivered by Noh, resulting in the loss of his life.
